As winter approaches, with it begins air quality woes ready to haunt the the National Capital. After months of respite from the toxic air due to the Coronavirus locknow, now the horror is set to return to the Capital. The national capital's air quality was recorded in the moderate category on Tuesday morning but it is likely to worsen in the coming days due to a spike in the stubble burning in Punjab, Haryana and other neighbouring areas. The Ministry of Earth Sciences' air quality monitor, SAFAR said the city's air quality index will remain in the moderate category on Wednesday and Thursday but will start deteriorating thereafter. Remember last year in the winter months, Delhi turned into a gas chamber, forcing people to wear a mask and avoid the usual morning walks.
